MAKERS

Between the Quantock Hills and the Blackdown Hills lies the Somerset County Town of Taunton.

Makers, a thriving craft retail co-operative, is ideally located in historic Bath Place, a picturesque seventeenth century passageway and Taunton's oldest shopping street.

Since its founding in 1984, Makers has gained an enviable reputation for having one of the West Country's finest selections of contemporary crafts.

Makers is owned and managed by the makers themselves and displays a varied collection of their work. A maker is always on duty in the shop to discuss all aspects of the work as well as commissions.

Exhibitions by guest artists and craftsmen take place in the upstairs gallery on a regular basis.

Makers'opening times are Monday to Saturday inclusive from 9am until 5pm, closed on Sundays. Payments may be made by cash, cheque and the usual range of credit/debit cards.

Fully professional, and committed, crafts men and women interested in becoming members should email jewellery@hollywebb.co.uk in the first instance.
